The first Lesson is to see what your athlete is currently doing, being taught and gauge their understanding of their hitting mechanics. We will discuss terms like "Creating Separation", "Loading", "Turning the Barrel", "Staying in Sequence", "Staying Connected", "Bat Path", "Matching Plane". "Posture"
The first lesson is free and will last about an hour. We will make some corrections and see how they respond and go from there. If you like what how your athlete responds and is interested in continuing lessons, we will discuss further.
Scheduling Lessons
Normal lessons would go up to an hour and a half. The reason is we want to avoid the feeling of being on the clock. We want to be able to complete items that we are working on and end in a positive direction. Sometimes athletes adapt quickly and sometimes it takes longer. Sometimes its two steps forward and one back.
If your daughter is taking lessons and most of these terms don't sound familiar or cant explain what they are, that is a problem.
There may be times where we are done in an hour because we’ve reached a point where the athlete needs to take what they have learned and work on it for a bit before we move forward. It is easy to add on too many things for them to think about at the same time. However, plan on up to an hour and a half.
